Newcomer William Michael Morgan arrives out of nowhere with a style that recalls days of country music’s past in his debut single, "I Met A Girl."
Musically the song harks back to a very different time in country music, the 1990s - absent is the smoke and mirror production that’s heavily layered in today’s hits. The beautiful instrumentation enables the song to breath and allows the listener to appreciate the artistry that makes this song special. Perfectly complementing the music is the story told about a man meeting a woman that has simply taken his breath away. So while his peers are out to change the genre by infusing hip hop and pop, the 21 year old remains grounded in what makes country music real and authentic.
