Celebrity benefit raises more than $150,000 for GRAMMY Foundation’s MusiCares charity

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Eric Church Band’s set a record at its recent fourth annual

Put a Drink in My Hand Golf Tournament with more than $158,000 raised for MusiCares. The record round brings the charity golf tournament’s four-year total to more than $430,000 raised for the GRAMMY Foundation’s charitable arm, which offers musicians personal, medical and financial services and resources. This year’s total of $158,884 easily outpaced 2014’s then-record of $112, 510. Tickets for the Aug. 17 tournament sold out in hours – not unlike Church’s universally lauded The Outsiders World Tour. Nearly three dozen sponsors and donors signed onto the event, which was presented by EMI, The

Messina Group, Q Prime, All Access Coach Leasing, WME, AB Jets and Church.

Church spent Tuesday night at Ryman Auditorium where he accepted the Academy of Country Music’s Jim Reeves International Award at the ACM Honors. The award is given to a performer who helps broaden the popularity and understanding of country music around the world.
