Nashville, TN – Next week, Musicians On Call (MOC), a groundbreaking nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities across the country, will be kicking off a first-of-its-kind, four city Rock The Room Tour. The tour will launch on October 21st in Nashville with an event that is almost sold out at City Winery, which will feature performances by Martina McBride, Kelsea Ballerini and now Reba, one of the most successful female recording artists in history, who will do a special acoustic performance at the event, a rare occurrence for the artist. Also set to present at the event will be Kelly Clarkson. For more information on the event and to purchase tickets you can go to www.musiciansoncall.org/RTRT.
“I’ve been very fortunate throughout my career to witness first-hand the healing power of music,” said Reba. “I am honored to support Musicians on Call at this event and perform for all those coming out to celebrate what MOC, and my good friend Shane, have done and continue to do.”
“We are incredibly honored and fortunate to have Reba perform at our kick-off event for the Rock The Room Tour, especially with a once in a lifetime acoustic performance,” said Pete Griffin, President of Musicians On Call. “This is going to be an unforgettable night in MOC history and we are truly grateful to all the artists and especially to Shane who helped us put this all together.”
The event will honor longtime MOC supporter Shane Tarleton, Warner Music Nashville's Vice President & Creative Director, with a "Golden Ukelele" for the Leadership in Music Award. The event will also honor Musicians On Call Volunteer Recipients Harlan Pease with the Volunteer Musician Award and Sandra Morgan with the Volunteer Guide Award. The Rock The Room Tour was created to raise awareness of the impact music has on healing, honor leaders in entertainment and philanthropy and raise funds for Musicians On Call in order to continue making a difference in the lives of patients through its unique “bedside tours” in hospitals. The tour will celebrate Musicians On Call’s impact in four major markets including Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Washington DC with special events honoring those who have showed tremendous support for the nonprofit organization. The artist and honorees for each remaining city where the Rock The Room Tour will be held will be announced soon.
