Kip Moore Shows His Raw, Tender Side in "Running For You"
Kip Moore recently released the second single off sophomore album, Wild Ones. Following
previously released “I’m To Blame,” the latest single "Running For You” is a heartfelt ballad giving listeners a rare glimpse into the tender hearted side of Moore:
But if the rain stops falling, falling on you
And your heart stops breaking, breaking in two
If the light starts fading, baby don't move
Just say my name, stay right there
I'll come running for you
This isn’t one of those “sing songy, lovey dovey” types of ballads though; it’s an edgy, raw emotion, cuts to the core type of ballad that Kip is known for - telling the story of saying goodbye to someone you care about, “Running For You” expresses the desperation felt when you have to let someone go to explore their dreams, knowing that you’re feelings for them will keep you waiting hoping for their return.
“Running For You” offers another wonderful example of Kip’s song writing ability, allowing fans to truly feel the emotion expressed throughout the song. Not many allow themselves to be vulnerable enough to perform this type of heart wrenching song in a way that audience members can connect with, but that’s what makes Kip Moore great, and with a subject matter everyone can relate to this song is sure to be a hit.
"Running For You" and Wild Ones are now available at all major music retailers.
