ONE PAN NAN / One Pan Cooking for One-Pan Cleanup Available Today Book Signing at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum December 12

NASHVILLE, TN – National television personality Nan Kelley, known for her comforting style and mission of bringing families together and telling their unique stories through her popular One Pan Nan series, announces the release of her new cookbook ONE PAN NAN, One Pan Cooking for One-Pan Cleanup just in time for the hectic holiday season. The cookbook, out today and available at www.onepannan.com, is a labor of love for the Hattiesburg, MS native. “To put it simply, food played a big role in my upbringing. It probably has as much to do with the people I was around and the memories made while enjoying all those meals as it does with the food itself. We all need food to live, but food was also about life. It was about conversation, comfort, family and friends, and heartaches and holidays.” – Nan Kelley

Nan is scheduled to appear on Newschannel 5 “Talk of the Town” (WTVF-TV / Nashville, TN) Thursday, December 3 and on “Great Day Live” (WHAS-TV / Louisville, KY) on December 10. She will sign copies of ONE PAN NAN at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum store onDecember 12 at 2 PM. In her mission to help families and loved ones enjoy more time together she explains, “One Pan Nan is my mission to help you have more time around the table with the one you love and less time over the sink cleaning up afterwards.” She adds, “These days, time is a commodity in short supply. Most people are just like me and lead busy lives that don’t always allow the time to orchestrate a multi-pan production.” The one-pan recipes included in ONE PAN NAN are, in essence, her heart and history poured on to the pages. They are not only some of her own recipes but many have been collected and passed down to her over the course of her lifetime from family members and friends, including some of her grandmother’s handwritten well-used creations. One of her favorites is her grandmother’s Sour Cream Pound Cake as well as the recipe for her own favorite appetizer Bruschetta and the New Year’s must-have in the South, Hoppin’ John. The recipes not only tell her story and her family’s history, but she has collected recipes and stories from people all over the country through her travels because of the vision of her One Pan Nan series of shining the light on people in communities all across the country - artists, business owners, protectors, helpers, healers and everyday heroes that she meets along the way. Some of the interesting everyday heroes Nan includes in the book: Chef Mark Rubin of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee-Nan cooked in the kitchen of the food bank's Culinary Arts Center with Chef Mark who's in charge of the operations of the center. Chef Mark showed Nan how to cooked up his Sichuan Rice Noodles and the two talked about how the center supports the important mission of Second Harvest: to feed hungry people and help to solve hunger issues in the community. Engineer Tracy Townsend and the firefighters of Station 29 of the Nashville Fire Department- Nan spent some time at the station and saw firsthand how these vital first responders are like a family and how dedicated and alert they are on the job for their community. Captain David Tomlinson taught Nan how to make a firehall favorite, his mom's hearty chicken casserole. Nan explains, “We may not read about [these everyday heroes] in our favorite news feeds, but our communities depend on them and wouldn’t be the same without them.” She adds, “I’ve found that the best conversations always happen in the kitchen. After all, food ties us all together, and no matter what part of the world we’re from or what we do for a living, all God’s children gotta eat.” Nan is also the new spokesperson for Red Gold Tomatoes, one of America’s favorite brands and a company that shares her same goals of staying focused on family and her moniker that food brings families together.
