And Your 58th GRAMMY Country Nominees Are......
Nominees were announced for the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Monday, December 7th - a
slew of the best in all genres of music were announced, contending for the coveted award. And country music, outside of their own categories, has infiltrated the mainstream with nominees in each major category.
Announced that due to a previous nomination with The Steeldrivers, newcoming heavyweight Chris Stapleton was ineligible to be nominated for Best New Artist. Sam Hunt found himself nominated in that category, while Stapleton secured himself a place in the running for Album of the Year. And the single that dominated the country airwaves (to much controversy), "Girl Crush" finds itself in the running for Song of the Year alongside Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud."
