Traditional Country Newcomer Claire Petrie Becomes the Newest Member of the Country Music Family

The Country Music Association (CMA) welcomes one of its newest members, traditional country

songstress, Claire Petrie to the country music family. She stopped by CMA’s Nashville office recently while promoting her holiday single, He Would Be King.

After becoming an official CMA member, Petrie took the Douglas Corner stage later that evening alongside Baillie & The Boys, Jonell Mosser, Etta Britt, among others for a benefit concert for the You Have The Power organization.

Petrie is getting everyone in the holiday spirit with the release of her first ever Christmas single, He Would Be King – a duet with Grammy-nominated and CMA award-winner T. Graham Brown. She recently secured a powerful review from renowned music critic, Robert K. Oermann, saying “The song is quite uplifting.” This song is getting a great response from country and gospel radio, and is officially in the Hotdisc Country International Top 20 Chart.

The official music video is available HERE and has amassed over 2,000 views. The video incorporates the holiday spirit along with studio clips of Claire and T. Graham Brown during the recording.

Her previous chart-topping singles (C’est la Vie) You Never Can Tell and Somewhere Off The Map, is off her album The One and received rave reviews by radio and industry critics. Petrie’s charm, warm wit and passion for people make her a genuinely natural fit in the traditional country world. Her voice is a welcome “new old friend” on the music scene.
