The event will be hosted by award-winning singer songwriter Tara Shannon and will feature hit songwriters Bonnie Baker (Reba McEntire, Hunter Hayes, Billy Ray Cyrus, Rascal Flatts), Clay Mills(Diamond Rio, Darius Rucker, Trisha Yearwood) and Marty Dodson (Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, Carrie Underwood, Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Plain White T’s). Songwriters Tony Zavitson, Jonathan Helfand and Samantha Timmins will also perform.

Special guest Jonathan Pitre, a 15 year old Canada native, is a “Butterfly Child” determined to find a cure for EB. Epidermolysis Bullosa is a hereditary skin disorder which effects only 500,000 people worldwide. It causes skin to become extremely fragile, slow to heal and prone to infection. Children with the disorder are often called “Butterfly Children” because the skin is as delicate as a butterfly’s wings and can blister or tear with the slightest of touch.

Pitre has been featured in many documentaries on networks like TSN and ESPN, as well publications such as USA Today, People Magazine, The Daily Mail and The Huffington Post. Pitre also has a seat on the TSN Hockey panel, has attended the NHL Awards Ceremony and was made an honorary NHL scout by the Ottawa Senators.
