Nashville, TN – Best Country Solo Performance GRAMMY® nominee Cam today adds to her list of award nominations as the Arista Nashville/RCA Records singer/songwriter makes her debut on the ACM Awards final ballot as the year’s most-nominated solo female, garnering an impressive four nominations.
In addition to her nomination as New Female Vocalist of the Year, Cam is up for Video of the Year, as well as Single Record of the Year (a double nomination as artist and executive producer), both for her GRAMMY-nominated “Burning House.” The Platinum-certified #1 smash stands as one of only two songs to earn more than one ACM nomination among today’s nominees.
In response to the news, Cam shared, “I’m ugly crying right now. Just so honored and grateful to be a part of this country music family. The best fans, the nicest & most talented musicians, hardest working live event teams, the most supportive label, and the most dedicated radio stations. I believe that happiness is only real when shared – and my heart is overflowing because I get to share this success with all of you.”
Recently voted the #1 New Act in the Nashville Scene’s 16th annual Country Music Critics Poll, Cam landed on multiple poll lists, with Geoffrey Himes writing in the accompanying feature that Cam “stripped the highly polished country-pop formula of its bombastic tendencies and invested it with real emotion and genuine humor.”
This past Friday, Cam made the television debut of her new single, “Mayday,” on the syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show, with the performance viewable online here. Co-written by Cam and Tyler Johnson, “Mayday” is featured on Cam’s acclaimed Untamed album, available for sale at http://smarturl.it/CamUntamed.
With each song co-written by Cam, Untamed was produced by GRAMMY®-winner and current Producer of the Year, Non-Classical GRAMMY nominee Jeff Bhasker (Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, FUN., The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift) and two-time Album of the Year GRAMMY nominee Tyler Johnson (Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Mikky Ekko).
“Mayday” is at country radio now with an official airplay impact date of February 15.
Cam is currently touring through February 27 with headliner Brad Paisley, and beginning May 12, she’ll head out as a special guest on Dierks Bentley’s Somewhere on a Beach Tour.
