Dierks Bentley takes us "Somewhere On a Beach" in his new single
Dierks Bentley had much success with his sentimental singles “Riser” and “I Hold On," but is now on
a new journey with a less reflective piece the Capitol Records artist announced he has been working on his eighth studio album, Black, due out this spring. The first single released from this album is “Somewhere on a Beach.”
This sultry, provocative song will have you sprinting for the beach after your next break-up. Sitting at home and grieving your last relationship isn’t even an option, when you can hop a plane and party all day and night. Dierks proves that there is nothing wrong with a rebound hookup:
I'm somewhere on a beach
Sipping something strong,
Got a new girl, she got it going on
We drink all day, and party all night
Dierks affirms that whether you’re drunk on a plane or a beach, life is a party that we want to partake in. No point in being brokenhearted when you can let the other person know just how you are progressing in life.
Bet you think I'm sitting at home, no.
Bet you think that I'm all alone, no.
Bet you think I'm missing you and wishing you would call my
phone
While Riser was an intense emotional album that was related to events that happened recently in Dierks life, Black will cover all phases of a relationship including breaking up.
Black is available for pre-order on Dierks website. “Somewhere on a Beach” is available where digital music is sold.
