Singer/Songwriter Catapults Into 2016 Featured On “Artists To Watch” Lists By Rolling Stone, The Bobby Bones Show, Huffington Post & More
Nashville, TN – Revered by Rolling Stone as “a singer-songwriter with attitude and hooks to burn,” Tucker Beathard's debut single, “Rock On,” is available at Country radio. The Big Machine Label Group artist co-wrote the "cleverly-written" (Country Weekly) song with Marla Cannon-Goodman and his hit songwriter father Casey Beathard. With a rhythmic way of playing guitar, influenced by his innate drumming ability, Tucker played both lead guitar and drums on the track. About regretting the girl that got away, “Rock On" is taut in its delivery and uses sharp turns of phrase. “It was important to me when deciding on the first single that the song was one that I felt would show who I am as an artist, musician and songwriter,” said Tucker. “I'm a bit of an introvert, but writing songs and performing them is my way of expressing myself, and I hope it resonates with people." Growing up in a family that excelled at both music and sports – his dad a songwriter; his brothers, star quarterbacks – Tucker certainly knows something about family tradition. Taking cues from dad, who wrote Kenny Chesney's "Don't Blink” and Eric Church's “Homeboy,” the latter inspired by his son’s rebellious phase, Tucker gave up a college baseball scholarship to dive into music. As a result, he has an unrelenting competitive spirit: Tucker wakes up every day trying to write the perfect song. Critics and fans alike have been anticipating the debut single from the “much buzzed about singer/songwriter” (People), with Tucker already featured on multiple “Artists To Watch” lists including The Bobby Bones Show, Huffington Post, Rolling Stone and Taste Of Country.
