Cole Swindell Is No. 1 Again on Billboard's Country Chart

“You Should Be Here” Marks His 8th No. 1 Song Overall as Songwriter Rising superstar teams up with the USO for their 75th Anniversary

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising country superstar and reigning ACM New Artist of the Year Cole Swindell tops Billboard’s Country Chart once again with “You Should Be Here," marking the fifth consecutive No. 1 single of his solo career and eighth overall as a songwriter. The title track off his forthcoming album due out May 6th, the poignant song was released just 15 weeks ago and has also reached the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart (which includes streaming, radio airplay and digital sales) for the third week. Co-written by Swindell and Ashley Gorley, "You Should Be Here" has sold over 402,000 copies and racked up more than 20 million streams. The award-winning artist learned about the milestone this past weekend at the Grand Ole Opry. “Finding out that you have the No. 1 song in the country while backstage at the Grand Ole Opry is the coolest feeling in the world,” said Swindell to Billboard. “This song is so special to me, and just hearing fans’ stories and the way country radio has embraced it is amazing. I’m a lucky guy and I know my Dad is smiling down right now, so proud.” While gearing up to release his new album, the singer/songwriter joins forces with the USO to celebrate its 75th anniversary. From now until the end of May (also known as Military Appreciation Month), fans can gift a digital copy of Swindell's brand new album to an active duty service member when they pre-order an album via Cole’s official store. All copies will be distributed by the USO to service members and $1 from each album gifted will be donated directly to the USO. Fans can also join Swindell in helping the USO reach 1 million messages of support to service members and their families by participating in the USO’s Campaign to Connect. A Top 5 selling country song since the month it impacted radio in January, “You Should Be Here” follows Swindell's four No. 1 singles off his Gold-certified debut album, including the smash hits, gold-certified “Let Me See Ya Girl,” along with platinum-certified “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” and “Chillin’ It." In the two short years since debuting his self-titled debut album, Swindell has earned over 210 million streams and sold nearly 4 million tracks. Additionally, he has co-written eight of the biggest No. 1 songs in country music for some of the format’s hottest starts, including his five chart-toppers as well as Luke Bryan’s “Rollercoaster”, Florida Georgia Line’s “This Is How We Roll” and Thomas Rhett’s “Get Me Some of That”.
