Nashville, TN - While worthwhile attention has been paid to the undervalued contributions of female artisans in the country music industry, Cotton Gin Productions, led by singer, songwriter and entrepreneurs Erin Enderlin and Alex Kline, has quietly and confidently established a full-service, female-owned production company to develop up-and-coming musical talent. Established in 2014, Cotton Gin Productions' first signing is Knoxville native Scott Stevens. Enderlin and Kline recognized Stevens’ unique talents and nurtured his skills as a performer and songwriter to develop his self-titled EP, releasing July 21. The project is produced by Cotton Gin’s Enderlin and Kline, with multi-talented instrumentalist Kline playing all instruments on the upcoming CD.

  • “Rent Money” written by Erin Enderlin, Steph Jones and Alex Kline

  • “Hands On” written by Oscar Charles, Erin Enderlin and Scott Stevens

  • “Bad Ideas” written by Erin Enderlin, Alex Kline and Scott Stevens

  • “Keep On Doin’ It” written by Phil Barton, Alex Kline and Scott Stevens

  • “Around A Bonfire” written by Ryan Beaver and Erin Enderlin

  • “Call Me When You’re Drunk” written by Alex Kline, Scott Stevens and Mike Sprinkle

"I'm so proud of this project,” shared Scott Stevens. “We busted our asses making a record that incorporates a little bit of everything I love about country music and I’m really excited for people to hear it." With influences ranging from Elvis Presley, The Eagles and Johnny Cash, Stevens’ musical style incorporates the heart of Keith Urban, the energy of Bruce Springsteen and the swagger of Chris Isaak. "The first time I heard Scott sing live, I knew he had the ‘it’ factor every producer is hoping to discover,” declared Cotton Gin Productions partner and Stevens’ producer, Alex Kline. “He has this magnetic energy that really connects with the crowd and I can hear his voice cutting right through the radio waves; it's soulful, and gravelly, and every note live has the same power as the recordings." Scott Stevens and Cotton Gin Productions will celebrate the release of his record with a FREE, full-band show at The Basement in Nashville on July 21. Tickets can be purchased HERE. "Alex has such a great talent for finding a unique sound for an artist and really capturing who they are,” stated Cotton Gin Productions partner Erin Enderlin. "It's been exciting to dig in with Scott and see this project come to life and I couldn't be more proud of the music we've made together.”
